Hippo and i had lunch at Watami on our off day....enjoying a relaxing lunch together

Watami salad contains healthy mix of 7 kinds of vegetables. Topped with their special tuna mayo that makes it so yummy. This dish is definitely a must-have for those who are on a healthy diet!

Tom Yum Kung & more...

Back in July, C and i plan to go BKK for shopping since air tickets were cheap. This is the first trip out with C and was definitely a trip to remember. And... i actually had it all planned out on where to take C to eat and shop - Platinum Plaza, Chatuchak, Siam Square, Suan Lum Night Bazaar, Tom Yum Kung and more.

Today is time for C to head back Singapore and i was rather sad about it coz i will be left alone in BKK. Do not have a choice coz needed to be in BKK for work tomorrow. Can't wait to get home to see the 3 little rascals...

LA Trip - spending time with the YOUNGsss

LA...the city of angles; the city of industry; the city of sin of hollywood, movies and stars and glamour. I got back from LA 2 weeks ago and it was a great trip. Managed to spend loads of time with the youngsss. Managed to get nice tan with couple of runs in the morning. Managed to go Disneyland. Managed to have IN N OUT burger and PINK'S hotdog. Awww... i'm thinking of LA. I miss the place and the youngsss.

AOBA Hokkaido Ramen @ ION

I love Jap food so much that i can have it everyday. Last month, i spotted this new Jap rest at ION coz there was a super long queue so i've plan to try out the ramen together with Kenji & Eric. I must say that the noodles were chewy and goes great with the broth. The soup broth was really tasty and makes the entire thing so yummy. I love it!

Hood to Coast 2009

I recently participated in Hood to Coast and had a blast! I must say that the hood to coast event is reputed to be one of the premier running events of its kind in the US. 12,000 runners come from nearly every corner of the US and many countries around the world. We bump into our Nike Japan team too.

Though is tiring and tough running 25miles in 3 legs (worse than my 1/2 marathon) but I will still call it one of the most fun things i have done in my lives with a bunch of fun colleagues.

Will i do it again? maybe not coz the night leg is pretty scary....

Best of August

I had a great birthday last month in US...full of activity. Disneyland and Hood to Coast race plus a surprize gift at my desk. FLOWERS from hippo. Sweet... :)

2am...

Recently, I am feeling swallowed up by negative emotions, I will try in all ways not to. Maybe it is a helping hand in time of need, maybe it is a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear and more!

Now is 2am and i can't sleep... feeling stress and tired. Feeling a little unsure as well...i gues is work that is driving me nuts...nuts!!

Missing in action

it's been a long time since i last blog. Due to to the over-whelming work that i have currently. Total insane... no work life balance at all. This sux totally.

But...after doing some retail therapy on on Kate Spade website, definitely makes me feel better and not think about work.

I'm eyeing on this... shh.. :)

HUGE salads for lunch

Recently i'm into the healthy eating habits. Suddenly I don't want anything to eat that's heavy--just light salads, especially for lunch. I made HUGE salads for lunch almost every other day. It's not hard to do once you get the hang of it.

YUMMMY!! MY SALAD CREATION

looking through at some photos....

I was looking through at some holiday photos that hippo and i went in 2008 & 2007. Cambodia was one of the destination that i always wanted to go and we went... together with his family. :)

Siem Reap and Angkor Wat is the gateway to the ancient temple ruins of Khmer empire, which are a must-see stuff for the trip. History aside, Siem Reap has a lot going for it, a mix of old and new, rural and urban. When you've had enough of the scenes of village life, there are modern comforts to it as well, from bargain shopping to affordable spas in town.

Babies...Children...

When i was younger, I didn't really like babies and children in general. I thought they were noisy and irritating creatures who would suck the life out of you. As time passes, I changed my mind and realized that they are the most adorable and honest people you will meet in your life.

Patty Misses Thai Food

Bangkok trip last weekend was superb!! I just needed some time off to relax and pamper myself. It was fun just purely shopping, eating and massage plus spending money and buying stuff.

I really think that thai customer service is impeccable. My friends and i went to this cafe at Siam Paragon and i was floored by the fantastic service.

My Fav. PadThai

Pre V-day

Valentine’s Day is a time for showing affection for the one you love (or all your friends and family). It's not about presents and candy, it's about showing someone you care about them. V-Day doesn't have to be one day a year. To me..everyday is V-day. Hope everyone will have a nice one, unfortunately i'll be away this V-day. So...hippo and i decided to have some alone time together.

Hippo took me to KHA for lunch yesterday. A modern thai cuisine restaurant situated at Hort Park. I love the lush outdoorsy setting that will make you think that you are almost in Bali. It has a fantastic view of Hort Park and overlooks the garden while you are having your meal. Do bring a along a camera and take some nice shots if you are there. Perfect place for couples.... :)

The waiter told us the best time to go is at 6:45pm. Have a pre-dinner cocktail while watching the sunset. Sound romantic isn't it... hippo and i gonna go back again.

Five Years at Swoosh

27 Jan (just few days ago)... was my fifth year working with the swoosh. And what a five years it has been! Back then, i would never thought of working for the swoosh after my job with 3 stripes. The network began life with 300+ contacts (i think) – all friends and associates of mine. I’m privileged to work with such a passionate AND innovative bunch of people. Just five years of campaigns after campaigns, i do look back on many eventful and exciting moments + fun in each campaign.

After 5 years...I'm still loving the brand... :)

New Year Resolutions 2009

I've decided not to create New Year resolutions for this year. It might be because I realized that i don't seem to achieved any of my resolutions. Or maybe I'm just plain lazy or such a procrastinator that I know I'll never achieve a resolution, so why bother making one in the first place? I can't remember if i ever achieved my resolution for 2008. I think i did achieved one though, which is loosing weight.

My Mommy is the best!

My mum just got back from Shanghai 2 weeks ago and she brought back a huge box of strawberries for me. Yippee... love you lots!! I had an entire week supply of strawberries. :)

Fridge stock up with strawberries!!

Walking around Haji Lane & Arab Street

Hippo and i popped by Haji Lane last weekend for dinner after walking around town and dropping off some stuff at Cathay, What's Good store. I must say that it’s one of my favourite places now to shop and I can’t believe I only just begin to love this place a few months back. I find that the best time to walk down Haji lane would be late saturday afternoon because stores are all opened and the waether is perfect (not that hot and humid).

End up purchasing a few items from a couple of shops.

Simply Bread for lunch

My unusual x'mas eve dinner

Hippo and i had x'mas eve dinner at home instead of going out. This time around, decided to cook our own x'mas eve dinner. It was a very typical meal, which made it an unusual way to celebrate x'mas eve. We ate no ham, no turkey, and no sweet potatoes. No mashed potatoes with gravy, no pie, and no warm dinner rolls. Our Christmas dinner was eaten late at night, and it was nothing special or fancy. Quite the opposite, it was as ordinary as ordinary can be. Hippo and I filled our bellies with it while watching the movie batman begins into the night before we meet friends for drinks.

We had...
Starters: Green Spinach Salad with tomatoes and corn + sushi platter
Main: medium rare steak with mushroom sauce, frankfurters + vegetable chips (my fav. brand terra chips)
Dessert: Korean Strawberries and Aust. Seedless Grapes
